Plans For Business Intervention Programs.

Prime Minister James Marape in his first visit to the National Development Bank (NDB)headquarters in Port Moresby, announced that there are plans for business intervention programs. He said in his view in alignment with the government, they are plans to put in place an annual intervention program for the next 10 years in the Small Medium Enterprise space and PNG business space.Mr Marape was accompanied by State Enterprises Minister Sasindran Muthuvel, Lands and Physical Planning Minister John Rosso and Hela Governor Philip Undialu.”We are here to visit and pay respect to the bank as an organisation as there are lots of expectations for the bank to deliver to our people especially to complement our government intention to empower Papua New Guineans to get into business,” he said.”We want to drag our middle class, our Small Medium Enterprise and our citizens to get into business.Taking back PNG really is all about getting our people engaged in something productive.”We will not deal or engage in programs that are not for paper kuskus and paper project skuskus but, we will assist real Papua New Guineans who are serious in doing business that is the reason why we are here for the visit.”You would notice that NDB is not the only bank we have in the country but. NDB is the core priority bank for government departments in the part to ensuring that as an institution it gets Papua New Guineans to engage in business.
